A prática de vender sonhos, transformar necessidades em desejos é comum na publicidade, e para isto vale maquiar a realidade para transforma-la em algo um pouco fantasioso estimulando o consumidor.</p>

<p>Geralmente, estes lindos alimentos fotografados são incomíveis. Segundo  site <a href="http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/">Don&#8217;t Buy It</a>, cuja <a href="http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/about.html">missão é tornar os futuros consumidores mais espertos</a>, os <a href="http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/advertisingtricks/foodadtricks.html">estilistas alimentares utilizam práticas nada apetitosas</a>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Quando fotografar sanduiches com sementes, como milho ou ervilhas, cole-as com cola tudo ou fixe-as com alfinetes.</li>
<li>Aplique spray a prova d&#8217;agua nas superfícies para evitar que elas fiquem úmidas.</li>
<li>Cozinhe apenas o lado externo das carnes e deixe o centro crú para deixa-la com uma bela aparência e aspecto de frescor.</li>
<li>Pinte as carnes, em especial hamburguers com óleo e pigmento marrom.</li>
<li>Para fazer as marcas de grill, use um metal bem quente como um ferro de solda por exemplo.</li>
<li>Utilize apenas as fatias centrais dos mais belos tomates e aplique neles uma mistura de glicerina e água para dar uma aparência de frescor.</li>
<li>Use toalhas de papel dobradas como fraldas para que a gordura e o sangue das carnes não escorram para o pão.</li>
<li>Escolhas folhas bem verdes, saudáveis sem marcas marrons ou falhas.</li>

O novo consumidor esta ficando cada vez mais refratário à publicidade. Veja que o filme sincero da Dove Evolution, que transformou-se em um imenso buzz, acabou por ganhar o <a href="http://www.brainstorm9.com.br/archives/2007/06/cannes_lions_2007_cyber_grand_prix.html">Gran Prix de Cannes este ano, sem ter sido veiculado na TV</a>. Este comportamento escancara para quem quer ver, que o consumidor quer sinceridade e transparência, quer interagir com pessoas e não com super-heróis ou ficção., quer realidade e não fantasia.</p>

Uma das respostas que me chamou a atenção foi um <a href="http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Fast_Food_Ads_vs_Reality">link no Digg</a>, cujo post recebeu até o momento 3866 votos e nada menos que 274 comentários.</p>
<p>Voltando ao aspecto dos alimentos, fica pergunta: Será que teremos de colocar fotos reais nas peças publicitárias ou teremos de fazer um bom marketing de serviços aliado a P&amp;D para produzir alimentos cada vez mais parecidos com a suas fotografias?</p>
